Custom Rugs Made out Of Carpet
By definition, a custom area rug doesn’t have to mean an area rug created entirely from scratch. If you are looking for a custom area rug because you have a unique size room or uniquely shaped room—or you simply find selecting colors and patterns to be too overwhelming—we highly suggest a custom area rug made from wall-to-wall carpet. (Note: This can also be a more cost-effective option for many)
Another advantage to carpet, is the option to look through, and choose from, the hundreds of styles and samples we have in store. Of course you are also welcome to check these samples out and take them home for a better look. This is a particularly helpful step if you find it difficult to picture how certain colors or patterns will look in your space, or with your current furniture, paint colors, etc.
While there are other companies who offer custom area rugs made from carpet, very few hand-serge the borders of the rug the way we do. This is an important step and really completes the overall look. It provides for a more durable finish as well as a higher-end look.
Most other companies only “bind” carpet edges. Generally speaking, binding is typically the easiest and least-expensive method of finishing a carpet edge. We offer both hand-serging and binding, but always recommend hand-serging when our customers are looking for a higher-end look, and/or when the budget allows.
We made this custom area rug using two different styles of carpet. One style was used for the main pattern and the other was used for the border.

Custom Rug Resizing
There are a few main reasons why our customers want their rugs resized. It can be due to damage on the rug, such as damage done to the fringe or the outside border. It can be because the rug will be moved into a different space that is significantly smaller or differently laid out, such as a hallway or small bedroom. Or it can be because the rug is quite large and would be better suited as a few smaller-sized rugs. These are just a few of the most common reasons why a customer might want their rug resized.
Regardless of the reason, we can help. We resize rugs daily, providing our customers with yet another custom-rug service. If you are interested in having your rug(s) resized, we suggest either contacting us or visiting us in store, with your rug(s) in tow. Our experts will give you a great idea about what can be done, how best to execute your wishes, as well as provide you with an estimate. We have to take measurements in order to properly estimate, so we always recommend bringing your rug(s) in when you can.
